Terms of Service

Effective October 22, 2026. These terms cover hailproofreport.com (Hail Proof Report) and decodemypolicy.com (DecodeMyPolicy), which are run by the same small business in Cleburne, Texas ("we", "us"). Questions: help@decodemypolicy.com.

1. What we provide

Hail Proof Report is a free report of public NOAA weather records near an address: radar hail signatures and National Weather Service reports. DecodeMyPolicy is a paid, automated explanation of an insurance document you upload, in plain English, with the page and clause for each point (the "Storm Coverage Brief").

2. Not advice

Our services explain public weather records and the words in your own document. They are not insurance, legal, financial or contracting advice, and DecodeMyPolicy is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. We are not your insurance agent, adjuster, public adjuster or lawyer. We do not inspect property, assess damage, tell you whether to file a claim, or deal with your insurer for you. Your policy and your insurer's decisions control. Before you rely on anything, confirm it with your agent, your insurer or a licensed professional.

3. Accuracy

Weather reports use NOAA data as published, which can be incomplete or revised. Radar hail sizes are estimates. A radar signature does not prove hail fell at a particular house. Briefs are produced by an automated system that uses artificial intelligence, and it can make mistakes, miss pages or misread poor scans. We check quoted clauses against your upload and show how many were verified, but we do not guarantee that a report or brief is complete or error-free.

4. Your uploads

Upload only documents you have the right to share, such as your own policy. You allow us and our service providers to process the upload to produce your brief. The uploaded file is deleted from our server 24 hours after delivery. The Privacy Policy explains what else we keep.

5. Payment and refunds

The Storm Coverage Brief costs the price shown at checkout, plus any sales tax. Payment is handled by Stripe. You are refunded automatically if your upload is not an insurance policy, or if your brief is not delivered within 30 minutes of payment. For any other problem with a brief, email us and we will review it.

6. The inspection offer

For addresses in its service area, Hail Proof Report offers an optional free roof inspection from Micah Hill Roofing & Restoration. Disclosure: the owner of Hail Proof Report works at Micah Hill Roofing & Restoration and is related to its owner. If you request an inspection, we send your name, phone number, address and note to them so they can contact you. Their work is between you and them, under their own terms. Neither site tells you whether you have damage or whether to file a claim.

7. Fair use

Do not use our sites to send reports to people who did not ask for them, to overload or scrape the service, to upload documents you have no right to share, or for anything unlawful. We may limit or block use that looks like abuse.

8. Limit of liability

The services are provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for the outcome of any insurance claim. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some laws do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts for Johnson County, Texas, unless the law requires otherwise.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order.
