Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026. This policy covers hailproofreport.com and decodemypolicy.com, run by the same small business in Cleburne, Texas. Questions or requests: help@decodemypolicy.com.
What we collect
- Free hail check: the address you enter, your email address, and whether you ticked the newsletter box.
- Inspection request: your name, phone number and optional note, along with that check's address and email.
- Storm Coverage Brief: your email address, the file you upload, and the brief we produce from it. Stripe collects your payment details; we never see or store your card number.
- Site visits: the page visited, the site that sent you, any campaign tag in the link, your country if our host reports it, your browser type, and a visitor code that is a scrambled value that changes every day. We do not store your IP address in our visit log, and we do not use advertising cookies or trackers.
How we use it
To make and email your report or brief, to let Micah Hill Roofing & Restoration contact you when you request an inspection, to send the newsletter if you opted in, to answer your emails, to prevent abuse, and to understand which pages and links people use.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run the sites for us: Render (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments and sales tax), and Anthropic, whose Claude AI reads your uploaded policy to write your brief. Anthropic does not use it to train its models.
- Address lookup: the address you type is sent to the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder and to an address-suggestion service (Photon, run by komoot) to find the location.
- Micah Hill Roofing & Restoration, only if you request an inspection.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Uploaded policy files are deleted 24 hours after your brief is delivered. The working notes our system made from your policy while writing the brief are deleted 90 days after your order. We keep the brief itself, your hail reports and your order records so your links keep working and so we can answer questions and keep business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your choices
You can leave the newsletter at any time by emailing us, and every newsletter will include an unsubscribe link. Email us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We will respond within 45 days. Residents of states with privacy laws, including Texas and California, have these rights under those laws.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with a hosting provider that limits access. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date at the top.
