Know what your policy says before anyone knocks
Upload your homeowners policy and get the Storm Coverage Brief: your wind/hail deductible in dollars, how your roof is paid, what is excluded, every deadline, each tied to the page it came from. $19 plus tax, about two minutes.
Where does the data come from?
NOAA's Severe Weather Data Inventory (NEXRAD radar hail signatures) and NOAA's Storm Events Database (National Weather Service verified ground reports). The address is located with the U.S. Census geocoder. Nothing is modeled or interpreted.
Does a radar hail day mean my roof is damaged?
No. Radar shows hail was likely in the storm over that spot. Only a physical inspection can tell you about damage, and this report never claims any.
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no card. If your address is in the Cleburne and south DFW area, the report page also offers a free roof inspection from Micah Hill Roofing & Restoration, our partner. Taking it is optional. Disclosure: the owner of Hail Proof Report works at Micah Hill Roofing & Restoration and is related to its owner, so we have a family and business connection to them.
Will you tell me whether to file a claim?
No. This is weather history, not insurance advice. For what your own policy says about hail, see DecodeMyPolicy.
